Work Horse of the Canadian Army: Grey Roots' Canadian Military Pattern Truck - Fall Lecture Series

Many have called the Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) trucks manufactured in Canada during the Second World War the “workhorse of the Canadian Army”. They were used in numerous capacities around the globe. Recently, a restoration was completed of a 1943 Ford 15 Hundredweight CMP truck at Grey Roots Museum and Archives. This presentation by Dave Alexander will delve into the evolution of CMP vehicles, how they were used by the military and the story behind the Grey Roots restoration project. The 2026 installment of our Fall Lecture Series, presented by East Court Residences, runs Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. from October 20 to November 10. These in-person lectures are held in the Thomas Wheildon Theatre. Complimentary refreshments following. Advance registration not required. Admission includes access to Grey Roots Museum & Archives.
