CYANOTYPE PRINTING ON FABRIC AND PAPER
The Georgian Bay School for the Arts
938 2nd Avenue East, Owen Sound, Ontario, N4K 2H6, CanadaJoin us for a fun, 3-hour workshop where you’ll explore the art of Cyanotype--one of the earliest forms of photography--using sunlight, water, and nature. Cyanotype photography doesn't use a camera. Instead, you lay an object on paper coated with a special solution before exposing it to UV light (like sunlight) and washing with water. In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of cyanotype printing and create stunning, blue-and-white prints using a variety of elements on paper and fabric. Participants will create their own personalized cyanotypes and will leave with the skills and knowledge to continue experimenting with this fascinating medium.
