Before You Submit
To be featured on VisitGrey.ca, your event should meet the following criteria. Make sure your event:
- Is a tourism-related event, experience, or festival located in Grey County
- Offers an experience that attracts visitors while also appealing to local audiences
- Is open to the public and welcoming to all
- Takes place on a specific date or within a defined timeframe
- Does not require membership or restricted access to attend
- Is suitable for a broad audience and supports Grey County’s visitor experience
Both free and ticketed events are eligible.
Events that meet these criteria help create a strong and engaging experience for both visitors and the community.
Events That May Not Be Approved
To keep the events calendar relevant and valuable for both visitors and the community, all submissions should offer a clear, engaging experience.
- Events that do not take place within Grey County
- Events designed primarily for a limited or membership-based audience
- Informal or recurring events that do not clearly demonstrate visitor appeal
- Workshops, classes, or programs that require advanced registration or are not designed with visitors in mind
Some events may still be considered if they are well-presented and offer a strong experience for attendees.

What You’ll Need to Submit
Have the following information ready when adding your event:
Required Information
- Event name
- Date(s) and time(s)
- Location (full address)
- Description (clear, concise, and engaging)
- At least one high-quality photo (posters or promotional graphics are not accepted)
- Website or event link (or Facebook event page)
- Contact information
- Social media links (optional)
- Additional photos (optional)
Tips for Strong Listings
- Keep descriptions short and compelling
- Highlight what makes your event unique or worth planning for
- Use photos that reflect the experience attendees can expect
- Link directly to where people can learn more or purchase tickets
Once your details are ready, you can submit your event through Whereabouts for review.
