Business Listing Guidelines

List Your Business on VisitGrey.ca

Get Discovered

VisitGrey.ca is Grey County’s official tourism website, a trusted resource for visitors planning their trip.

With over 3 million visits annually and marketing campaigns that drive traffic year-round, listing your business helps you connect with new audiences and showcase what you offer.

Listings are free for eligible tourism-related businesses.


To Be Featured on VisitGrey.ca

Before applying, make sure your business meets the following requirements:

Your business must:

  • Be open and operating
  • Comply with all regulations
  • Meet seasonal operating requirements

And also:

  • Operate from a fixed or defined location
  • Be open to the public
  • Maintain a website or social presence
  • Update your listing annually

How Listings Are Reviewed

All submissions are reviewed by Grey County Tourism staff before going live.
We reserve the right to approve or decline listings based on the criteria.

Only approved listings will appear on VisitGrey.ca.




Common Reasons Listings Are Not Approved

To ensure a consistent and high-quality experience for visitors, all listings must meet our guidelines.

  • Not located in Grey County
  • Not visitor-related
  • Incomplete or missing information
  • Inaccurate or inappropriate content
  • Images that don’t meet guidelines (logos, collages, overlays)

Before You Apply

To be eligible for listing, your business must:

  1. Be a tourism-related business, organization, experience, or event located in Grey County
  2. Be open and operating at the time of application
  3. Comply with all regulations, including liability insurance
  4. If seasonal, be open at least 4 days/week for 13 consecutive weeks
  5. Operate from a fixed location or defined meeting point
  6. Be open to the public (no membership required)
  7. Have a website or active social media presence
  8. Be updated at least once per year

Businesses operating sporadically or by appointment only may not meet visitor needs and may not be eligible.

What You’ll Need to Apply

Have the following information ready when submitting your listing:

Required Information:

  • Business name
  • Contact info (phone and/or email)
  • Physical address
  • Description (max 500 characters)
  • High-quality photos (JPG/PNG/GIF, max 2MB)
  • Closest communities (primary + nearby)
  • Website or social link

Optional:

  • Additional email
  • Amenities
  • Social media links
