L.E. Shore Memorial Library, The Blue Mountains Public Library
The Leonard.E. Shore Memorial Library opened on Dec. 2, 1995, replacing the Thornbury and Township of Collingwood libraries. The single-floor building centers on a garden courtyard, with high-arched ceilings and windows creating a spacious feel, while a corner fireplace offers a cozy spot to read.
As a dynamic hub for the community, the library offers digital media, local history archives, and museum exhibits at the Craigleith Heritage Depot. From art exhibitions to tech workshops, it remains a vital, inclusive cultural centre dedicated to enriching the life of every local resident.
