Georgian Bay Folk Society

The GBFS is a volunteer-led cultural organization dedicated to presenting and promoting folk music, folk arts, and cultural expression in the community. Each year, GBFS presents the Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival, held annually on the third weekend in August. Summerfolk is the organization’s signature event, bringing together artists, artisans, and audiences from across Canada and beyond. The festival showcases a wide range of artistic expression while celebrating both local traditions and diverse cultures, fostering connection and appreciation through music, crafts, and community.
